News
We're back from our trip to Germany and I must say, the tour was fantastic. We flew over on June 2, had a rest day, and then did the concert in Soest with a good man and a great singer, Jim Brown, from Belfast, Northern Ireland. We got to bed late that night and were up early for a flight to Munich. We sang that night with Dr. Klaus Kohlpaintner and his great band and singers. What a crowd! We had about 1800 paid and it was a great night. The next morning we flew to Dusseldorf and our last concert with Shaky Everett and Oliver Steinhoff. It just capped off a great week of music with our good friends. On June 7, we boarded a flight back home. We're off for a few days now. I go to Atlanta in two weeks to do some work on my solo cd project and to mix two songs for the Imperials. You will like these a lot. I have re-recorded He Loves Me So, a song I did with the Imperials in about 1976. I like this one even better.
As for the children, Leah will be taking swim lessons this summer and and Jesse and Luke are looking for new worlds to conquer. Leah and Jesse just finished a week of camp. They had a great time and had some great experiences.
On May 11 I participated in a new Bill Gaither "Homecoming" video based on the theme of "Giving Thanks" and it will be released around Thanksgiving. I told him it's a much needed emphasis for this ungrateful nation and for all that God has blessed us with, we still feel "entitled". He said, and I agree, "We are entitled to the life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". I could talk at length about that subject but suffice it to say, we need to look more at what we have and not what we think we deserve. We would find a lot more happiness if we did.
